45th Annual: A Capitol Fourth
Wounded Warrior Project® is a nonprofit that supports post-9/11 veterans who’ve experienced injuries in service. Members of the organization were invited as guests to A Capitol Fourth, PBS’s annual Independence Day event held on the U.S. Capitol’s West Lawn. The evening featured live performances by The Beach Boys, The Temptations, Josh Turner, LOCASH, Yolanda Adams, Lauren Daigle, Trombone Shorty, and American Idol Season 22 winner Abi Carter, with orchestral support from the National Symphony Orchestra and military ensembles. Their inclusion brought together music and tribute in a nationally televised celebration hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro.
